Professor Ravinder Dahiya
Glasgow University, Speaker at Sustainable Materials and Nanodevices
Ravinder Dahiya is a Professor of Electronics and Nanoengineering at the University of Glasgow and the EPSRC Research Fellow. He holds Satish Dhawan Visiting Chair Professorship at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. Professor Dahiya is Fellow of IEEE and IES. He is the President-Elect (2020-21) and Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Sensors Council. He is Founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Journal on Flexible Electronics (J-FLEX) as well as Editor of “Flexible and Large-Area Electronics” elements series by Cambridge University Press. His research interests are in high-mobility materials based flexible electronics, electronic skin, and wearable systems and their application in robotics, prosthetics and healthcare. At the event he will talk about providing sustainable energy solutions in terms of generation/storage by using single-crystalline inorganic semiconducting nanowires (NWs) of technologically important materials such as Si, Ge, GaAs and ZnO.
